Goal
The goal of the Building Department is to provide minimum standards for the protection of life, health, property, environment, and for the safety and welfare of the consumer, general public, and the owners and occupants of residential buildings.
We are able to accomplish this goal through the permitting process and subsequent code compliance inspections.
We currently issue building permits for residential one, two, and three family dwellings only. Four or more family and commercial structures require a permit from the Summit County Building Department.
